The Show
The Show
An hour and twenty minutes of pure magic.
Ekùn is a multidisciplinary show with a strong international character. In this unique concert event, MUSIC is the real protagonist and RHYTHM is the link between tradition and innovation.
An unforgettable musical experience that brings audiences together.
On stage, Bruno Genèro‘s drums, played strictly live blend perfectly with the techno-house music emanating from DJ Alain Diamond‘s console.
They will be joined on stage by a dance troupe of 11 young people from different backgrounds, choreographed by Kenny Del Castillo (afro-urban, hip-hop, modern) under the special supervision of choreographer Katina Genero (afro-contemporary).
The futuristic costumes by fashion designer Osvaldo Montalbano, an evocative “lighting design”, amazing multimedia projections and some exciting surprises will finally be the ideal setting for a show that will catapult you inexorably into a real “TRANSFORMATIVE JOURNEY“.

“Man proposes, music disposes”
EKÙN’s LIVE debut is scheduled for autumn 2024.
An engaging show divided into 12 paintings, each of which recounts the experiences lived on the 3 continents traveled by Bruno (Africa, Europe, North America and the Caribbean). Dreamlike and evocative atmospheres alternate with moments of vibrant energy, in a story punctuated by music, the true protagonist of the show. In Ekùn, Bruno manages to blend the sounds and vibrations of the unreleased songs from his latest album with some moments of surprising visual impact, in a flow of emotions that reach straight to the heart!
For Bruno Genèro, the djembé language is a pathway, a total immersion into the heart of the ancient Malinke oral tradition, where the music of the drums was born from the sounds of the spoken language.
For him, it is not a matter of applying the paradigms and techniques of Western music to an instrument that possesses centuries-old, time-tested, canonical sounds, but of getting to know them intimately in order to create a universal language that resonates on stages on every continent.
The music composed for Ekùn is the result of several years of research in almost unexplored fields. It is experimental and innovative music, strongly influenced by the sounds of TECHNO-HOUSE music.
We find hypnotic atmospheres in an all-encompassing sound where RHYTHM is the link between tradition and innovation. Its songs are capable of linking audiences together to create unique emotions.
For Ekùn’s choreography, Bruno chooses to tell his new musical idea through gestures that allow the audience to see the music represented through the bodies of the performers.
A skillful mix of styles ranging from Afro-urban to hip-hop and contemporary, capable of taking the audience on a surprising and decidedly exciting journey.
In Ekùn we find a meticulous and striking lighting design that becomes the perfect setting.
The show boasts a play of light that enhances an explosive musical sound that has a strong international impact, while highlighting its more intimate moments. Specially designed and created to tell every single moment of the show in a meticulous work that blends with the music and dance in a luminous embrace.
Ekùn is a show of undeniable multidisciplinary character.
Time is suspended between the notes of Ekùn’s music, dance, light shows, theatrical moments, elements of poetry, multimedia projections, elaborate tailor-made costumes, whimsical hairstyles, and refined make-up. Everything is carefully calibrated with rare sensitivity and wisdom.
Ekùn begins behind the scenes…
… and reveals itself on stage.
